The Astoria Aquatic Center features four pools and a large fitness area - all under one roof. Our pools include a 6 lane, 25 yard lap pool, recreation pool with a lazy river, hot tub and a heated kiddie pool.

*ACH prices are available for patrons who sign up for monthly recurring deductions from a savings or checking account.

Pool Use Descriptions

Family/Therapy Swim: MWF 6am-1pm; Tues 7-1pm; Thurs 7am- 11am;

Families are able to partake in recreational activities while sharing the pool with local group classes. During this time we ask that you use this space in a quiet manner as well as supervise your children 12 and under to ensure safety at our Aquatic facility.

Lap Swim: MWF 6am-1pm; Tues 7-1pm; Thurs 7am- 11am & 4-7pm;

Lap lanes are open to the public at these times. Lap lanes are used for a variety of activities such as aerobics and lap swimming. Our lap pool is a friendly environment that incorporates lane sharing etiquette. Swimmers who wish to have a lane to themselves may reserve a lane at a cost of $25 per hour.

Stretch & Strengthen: MWF 8:30-9:30am

Self Lead exercise group. Focusing on resistance stretching in a class for all levels of fitness. Incorporates the benefits of yoga stretches, resistance stretching and an emphasis on good posture to maximize the benefits of an aquatic workout.

Open Play: MTWF 4-7pm; Thurs 3-7pm; Sat 11am-3pm

Swimmers under the age of 8 will need to swim with an adult for their safety. They must stay within an arm’s reach of a responsible swimmer unless they have passed a swim test and are wearing a colored wristband. Swimmers ages 9-12 will be given a green wristband and may swim unaccompanied by an adult. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult within the facility for their safety.

Slide Open: M-F 4-7pm; Sat 12-3pm

At these times, in the recreation pool, the slide will be open. We ask that you wait for the okay of the attending lifeguard for one person at a time to ascend the steps. There is a height requirement to be able to go down the slide by yourself.

Water Exercise: Tue & Thurs 7-8am

Medium intensity workout using water and equipment for resistance, toning muscles, and increasing endurance and flexibility.

Coast Guard: Tue & Thurs, 8-10am

The Coast Guard will have three lanes reserved in the lap pool, leaving three lanes for the public at these times.


Youth Swim League

We will be offering a year round recreational swim league beginning October 4. Beginner Swimmers will practice Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm and Advanced Swimmers will practice Monday/ Wednesday/ Fridays. 5:00- 6:15pm. Level placement and Swimmer Readiness Evaluation can be scheduled by emailing Aquatic Supervisor Terra Patterson at tpatterson@astoria.or.us. Participants will do dryland and aquatic exercise drills and team building activities. Cost is $50 per month for 2 day per week participants and $75 per month for 3 day per week participants, additionally there is a one time registration fee of $25.

Anticipated closures are posted on the Astoria Parks Department events page and short notice closures can be found on Facebook.

Dryland Fitness Classes

The Parks and Recreation Department has temporarily suspended fitness classes due to limited staffing in order to prioritize fall youth programming at the aquatic center. Check back for updates when classes will resume later this fall.

Swim Lessons

We have currently suspended our Swim Lesson program due to the rising number of Covid19 cases in our area. At this time we do not have a start date for our next session of swim lessons.

Be a Lifeguard

Ellis & Associates’ International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP) provides the highest level of lifeguard training. Lifeguards who complete the ILTP program have the safety and service skills that far exceed current industry standards. Students will learn essential lifeguarding skills such as critical thinking, decision making, communication, and teamwork. Contact the Astoria Aquatic Center for class dates and to reserve a spot. Class fee of $100 payable to Astoria Aquatic Center. Register at class. We offer training classes all year long. Submit your application online for the next available class.


Oller Trust Facility Use

The Astoria Aquatic Center partners with the Oller Trust to provide residents of South Pacific County use of our facility with no out of pocket cost.* Qualified Patrons will need to follow all general use guidelines including making a reservation to swim prior to arrival at the facility. At this time, we are unable to process reservations for Oller Trust recipients online, we ask that these users contact us at 503-325-7027 to make a reservation with our staff using the Oller Trust.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
