Doughboy Monument

Located at the corner of Columbia and Marine Drive 

August 24, 2017  **Due to a vehicular accident that occurred on 8/24, the Doughboy Monument and its restrooms will be closed until further notice.  Please continue to monitor our Facebook page for updates**

The Doughboy Monument is a large monument built to commemorate the soldiers who fought in The First World War. This monument is surrounded by grassy lawns and houses a public restroom. The monument was constructed in 1926

David Hoth is our Employee of the Month and our newest addition to the Parks Maintenance team!  David worked seasonally for the Department for about a year before moving into his new full-time role and has hit the ground running.  From landscape maintenance to cemetery operations to facilities improvements, David has been a HUGE asset and we are very excited to honor him for all his hard work.  THANK YOU DAVID!
