Our Parks & Facilities

Come and visit our Parks! Click below for the link to locations. We have a variety of tennis courts, basketball courts, ballfields, skatepark, trails, and much more.

  • Lil' Sprouts Academy - This is a great place for your child to learn and grow!
  • Astoria Recreation Center - The Astoria Recreation Center offers programs for school age children and adults. We have a wide variety of fitness classes an after school program, a Teen Center, and offer recreational classes for all ages.
  • Astoria Parks - Check out all of Astoria's parks!
  • Port of Play - Experience structured and open play geared to young children. Our center features an indoor play center with mats, tricycles, small slides, and scooters that provide opportunities for youngsters to run and be active.
  • Aquatic Center - Four pools, a huge water slide and a large fitness area all under one roof.
  • Astoria Column - Completed in 1926, the column is a monumental piece of Astoria's history. Located at the top of Coxcomb Hill, the Column stretches upwards 125 feet, with 164 spiral steps to reach the viewing deck.
  • Kid Zone - This is a unique after school program that serves Astoria's Kindergarten through 5th grade students! Each day we will help your children with homework and offer exciting crafts, games and team building activities.
  • Master Plan - The City of Astoria Parks and Recreation Department is conducting a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

**UPDATE to celebration of life date and location** Astoria Park Board Member, Aaron Crockett died on Saturday due to health complications.

Coming Events

Adult Slow Pitch Softball League

Gather your friends and co-workers ages 16 & up for a fun recreational team-building experience. We have men's and women's leagues available. Our first organizational meeting will be held in April. Cost is $400 per team or $430 when paid after May 20th. Register by calling (503) 325-7275.

Now offering two class sessions to choose from in May! Join our amazing team of lifeguards. Learn important life skills and become a first responder. We offer flexible schedules, competitive wages starting at $11.25, and a positive team environment. Month


Mindy Fife, Laura Gillum and Susan Principe received employee of the month for their expertise and knowledge of rescue skills during an aquatic emergency.  While dealing with an unresponsive swimmer who has been a regular patron at the pool, all three remained calm and implemented the rescue skills they practice regularly showing a strong knowledge of these skills.

Volunteer of the Month

Tongue Point is routinely able to provide up to forty enthusiastic and helpful volunteers as support for Parks events and we are very grateful to receive such amazing help from this fantastic community partner!
